The purpose of MASTER’S DARSHAN TOURS is to provide a spiritually oriented pilgrimage to the holy land of India, primarily for devotees of Paramahansa Yogananda. Others who feel an attunement with this path are also welcome to join us. Our primary goal is to bring the Autobiography of a Yogi to life by visiting the many locations associated with Paramahansaji and our paramgurus.

In addition to being a sacred pilgrimage to all of the Y.S.S. ashrams and those holy sites directly associated with the line of SRF lineage of Gurus, we always include many other pilgrimage sites and the opportunity to meditate in these locations. Please review the itineraries in this website describing some of these divine locations.

Recently, there are several new tour companies to join for pilgrimage. There can be a big difference in the quality and experience that each tour offers even if the destinations are the same. We encourage you to compare all aspects of each tour offered and ask the following questions:

1) How many flights are there within India, verses how many trainrides? This is important since flying gives you more time in each destination and time to relax in a beautiful hotel. Too many overnight trains are taxing on the body and generally stressful. Some tour company use trains instead of flights to dramatically cutback on costs but do not pass their savings onto the devotee. Our tour offers six or seven flights on each tour.

2) How many years of experience in leading tours to India do they have and how many devotees have joined them over the years. Ask for a list of referrals.

3) Compair the tour cost, what is included, how many destinations and length of the tour. Shorter tours, tours with less destinations and tours that only stay overnight in ashrams or on trains should cost far less than those tours that offer more weeks, more destinations and many nights in beautiful hotels. SAFETY AND COMFORT FOR THE DEVOTEE SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
 

With experience traveling to India since 1990 and leading one or more tour groups per year since 1998, we realize that a genuine spiritual pilgrimage requires a somewhat relaxed pace. This deepens one’s inner experience and attunement with God and Guru. We therefore spend several days on retreat in each of the YSS ashrams plus a unique luxury camping experience in the Himalayas. As experienced tour leaders, we highly recommend that you travel in the safety and comfort of a group of pilgrims rather than endeavoring to “go it alone,” especially if this is your first visit to India.

Our package includes the finest travel arrangements and hotel accommodations. If quality, luxury hotels do not exist, such as in the mountains, we find the very best available. Traveling as a spiritual family we provide many opportunities for practicing the SRF teachings, meditation, relaxation, fun, adventure and fellowship .
